I got my share of emails with this photo over the past couple of days. Can't say it's a surprise. I do wonder about what it says about people's willingness to believe what they want to believe and interpret "evidence" accordingly.  That's one of the reasons that eyewitness testimony is so suspect. What the cognitive scientists are learning is that it's not "seeing is believing" so much as it as "believing is seeing."

Bush Photo Faked.

Oh, you know that picture of Bush that everyone is sending around via email? The one where he's reading a book upside down? Turns out the photo was faked. I hate when people send along hoaxes via email.
